YOMers walk the footsteps of Paul in ancient Philippi

(download)

Quick update from the road...
Left the hotel Monday, after a good breakfast, for the 2 hour drive to the ancient city of Philippi.
Ellie Harder did a wonderful devotion about the process of the clay on the potters wheel.
We drove through the mountains, along the beautiful Aegean sea.
We toured the ancient city ruins, which included several partial structures, remains of 3rd century churches and the remains of the 1st century jail at Philippi, believed to have held Paul & Silas in Acts 16.
We then went Lydia's Creek, where Paul baptized Lydia & her household, also in Acts 16. There, we had a powerful service and an extended time of prayer. Bro Strickland & Rose Pamer spoke to us.
Then we were off for a brief stop at the remains of the old Roman Road.
By this time we were more than ready for a late lunch. We at sausage, chicken & beef patties.
On the drive back to Thessaloniki, we stopped at Amphipolis, to see the famous Lion statue that Alexander the Great built to honor his 3 best generals.
We have just arrived back in Thessaloniki and will be eating a late dinner on the sea shortly.
